Lionheart [Ch. V: Light]
Cygnus stopped at the edge of an alley, feeling a strange presence nearing him. He knew there was a set of eyes observing him from a distance, and his instincts told him that it could’ve been someone Kaiser had sent to follow them. He winced and listened as the footsteps grew closer; they were dainty, like a female’s. Her being paused, and behind him, Cygnus could feel the atmosphere shift as she was raising a hand. He immediately turned his heel and snatched her wrist, pulling her in front of him and pinning her against the alley wall. The girl looked up at him with wide eyes, and stared.
“What the hell do you think you’re doing you psycho?!” The woman snapped at him almost immediately.
Cygnus glared, taking in her image as he observed her details. His expression was very harsh on her, and she could feel the intensity of his gaze as he seemed to have made some judgment about her that caused him to release her. She backed away slowly and rubbed her wrist,

He could see the eyes of strangers glaring at him from the alleys, but he ignored them and continued forward.
In a faint light he could make o
